Being an entrepreneur of two different businesses and having another part time job has me on-the-go at all times of the day. One thing that I do to keep me sane is to have an “At Home Spa Night”. It allows me to de-stress when I really want to keep working while watching TV or eating supper. Apparently I’m a “work-a-holic” haha!

At least one night every two weeks I make myself unplug from working. I wash my face and put on a charcoal mask. You can find one here on my personal website. If you have a Mary Kay beauty consultant please order from her! 🙂
Then I pop on a Disney or Harry Potter movie and take off my old nail polish.
A couple Christmas’s ago, I decided to invest into some foot baths from Walmart for around $20. I put a towel underneath the bath, so when it bubbles it doesn’t get my carpet wet. You can find one here.
Then I just sit and enjoy feeling like I am at the nail salon! What better way to relax than in your own home, with a foot bath, glass of wine and great movie?!
After washing off my face mask, I finish my nightly routine, which I will talk about in another blog post later on. Then, I paint my nails whatever color I am feeling that week! Most of the time I like sparkles, reds, or pinks.
When my nail polish is dry, I pop some popcorn and finish my movie.
It’s such a simple routine, but even one night every couple of weeks taking time off from working helps my mental health. I focus a lot better on both of my businesses after taking a break. It also helps open up the creative center of my brain by taking the pressure off for a little while. Sometimes I come up with the best ideas after I have spent a few hours relaxing!
