Dessert Recipe- Apple Spice Dump Cake

Dessert Recipe- Apple Spice Dump Cake

Now that the weather has cooled off- seemingly until next year- we are thinking of everything that comes with fall.

When I think of fall I think of pretty leaves, harvesting the crops, holidays, and apples.

My family is huge into making apple crisp and apple sauce for during the winter, and I love reaping the benefits of their hard work. 😉

My friend Jen and I decided that making this apple dump cake is the perfect fall dessert to top off any meal (fall meal or not), and man we made a delicious choice!

Ingredients

  • 15.25 oz. 1 box Betty Crocker Spice Cake Mix
  • 2 21- oz. cans Apple Pie Filling
  • 1/2 cup Butter 8 tbsp.
  • 2 tsp. Ground Cinnamon

Directions

  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.
  • Spray inside of 9×13 Casserole Dish with non-stick cooking spray.
  • Empty cans of Apple Pie Filling into bottom of Casserole Dish, then spread out evenly.
  • Sprinkle Cinnamon over the apple pie filling.
  • In medium mixing bowl, combine dry Cake Mix and melted Butter, and stir until a crumbly consistency. {break up any large chunks into small crumbles with spoon}
  • Pour cake crumble mixture over apples in Casserole Dish, spread out evenly.
  • Bake for 30 minutes, or until edges are hot and bubbly.
  • Serve with Ice cream or Whip Cream and Enjoy!

Notes

This is one of the easiest recipes to follow! I picked up the groceries my favorite way- Walmart pickup- after I had brunch with two awesome friends and then headed over to Jen’s house for our meal prep day.

I won’t bore you with the details since everything is pretty self-explanatory. I just like sharing all of the pretty pictures we were able to capture!

I actually did not measure the cinnamon as I was dumping it over the apples. I love cinnamon so I went with the thought, the more the merrier.

This spice cake was sooo yummy!

We didn’t have any ice cream or whipped topping to eat it with, but that is definitely a must! I have continued to eat big pieces throughout the week, and it is just as good cold as it is fresh out of the oven.

What is your favorite fall dessert?

XOXO,
